QuickTac Back to the site

Privacy

Short version: we hold your pilot application so we can talk to you about the pilot, and nothing else. Match data you capture in the app stays on your own device unless you choose to sync it.

The part most people care about

Players are logged by jersey number, never by name. Player names you enter are stored only on your own device and are never sent to us. We could not see them if we wanted to.

Who we are

QuickTac is a small independent project run from Ireland. For data-protection purposes the controller is the QuickTac team, contactable at [email protected].

What we collect from this website

Only what you type into the pilot application form:

We also record the date and time you applied, and your browser's user-agent string, to help us spot automated spam.

This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party tracking or advertising scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.

Why we hold it, and for how long

We use these details for one thing: contacting you about the QuickTac pilot. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you sent us.

We will not sell it, share it with anyone else, add you to a marketing list, or use it for anything you did not apply for. We delete applications within 24 months of your last contact with us, or sooner if you ask.

Where it is stored

Applications are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, and email is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing to a Google Mail account. Both are processors acting on our instructions.

Match data in the app

The app is offline-first. Events you capture during a match are written to storage on your own device and stay there. If you switch on multi-device sync, the events for that match are sent to our backend so a second device can join โ€” but because players are identified by jersey number, that data contains no player names.

Video you upload stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to upload it for sharing.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will action it within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection regulator โ€” the ICO in the UK, or the DPC in Ireland.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page and update the date below.
